"I never seem to know what to do"
"It feels like everyone has abandoned me"
"My drinking has gotten out of control"
"The drugs have taken over my life"
"What is the point of all this?"
"Why doesn't anyone listen to me?"
"Why did my spouse walk out?"
"It can't get any worse than this"
"Where can I turn from here?"
"I heard an old, old story,
How a Savior came from glory,
How He gave His life on Calvary
To save a wretch like me;
I heard about His groaning,
Of His precious blood's atoning,
Then I repented of my sins
And won the victory"
"The doctor said it was cancer"
"Mom told me it was something with her heart"
"They said Dad will never walk again after the stroke"
"The say the disease can make you go blind"
"I cant believe my only child is an addict, he needs help"
"Ever since the accident, he hasn't worked." "How can we pay the bills?"
"Her depression is getting worse"
"He just keeps drifting further and further away"
"What am I going to do?"
"Who can I turn to?"
"I heard about His healing
Of His cleansing pow'r revealing.
How He made the lame to walk again
And caused the blind to see;
And then I cried, "Dear Jesus,
Come and heal my broken spirit,"
And somehow Jesus came and bro't
To me the victory"
"All they kept saying was, that its terminal"
"I don't know how some people cannot be afraid of death"
"I wonder what's on the other side?"
"I wonder if there's another life after this?"
"When life ends that's it, isn't it?"
"I'm a good person"
"Why do I need Jesus?"
"I heard about a mansion
He has built for me in glory.
And I heard about the streets of gold
Beyond the crystal sea;
About the angels singing,
And the old redemption story,
And some sweet day I'll sing up there
The song of victory!"
"O victory in Jesus,
My savior, forever.
He sought me, and bought me
With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him
And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory,
Beneath the cleansing flood"
Heavenly Father, you have had this song on my heart for at least the past week. Tonight I felt the need to put it in writing. Whatever the reason was, I don't know. I just ask and pray that your will be done.
