1. At the beginning of our daily readings in January we talked about God being a "jealous" God. In this passage, did you find another verse that speaks of this?
2. What does He say will happen if we submit to God and resist the devil?
3. What does He say is the reason that we do not have when we ask?

1. In verse 4 it speaks about those who have friendship with the world is hatred towards God. Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
2. He states: Submit yourselves, then, to god. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you.
3. He says that "when you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, thath you may spend what you get on your pleasures."
