JESUS WHO? Week: 3.29 – 4.03
Monday 3.29.2010 John 18:19-19:16
What a powerful moment between Pilate and Jesus as they spoke. What did Jesus say would happen if this were His Kingdom? Why did He tell Pilate was the reason He was born, and for what reason did He come into this world?
Why do you think Pilate asked the question, “What is truth?” Have you found yourself there…staring into the face of “God” and knowing He has what you desire. I imagine Pilate saw just that and his eyes were pleading to know not what was the truth of the situation, but THE TRUTH. Where are you with this question in your daily walk?
Tuesday 3.30.2010 John 19:17-42
Remember the question from yesterday regarding Truth? What did Pilate respond with regarding the sign posted above Christ when he was placed on the cross…for you and me? Even on the cross, as He bled for you and me, He was still reaching out and ministering. In what verse can you see this incredible love and attribute of HIM seeing the need?
Wednesday 3.31.2010 John 20:1-21:25
What a day! I love Peter’s response…he was a disciple of energy, boldness and bluntness. Who was the first to ENTER the tomb? When they left, who remained at the tomb? How did Mary know that the one who spoke to her was Christ? In this passage, how many times did Jesus appear to the disciples after his resurrection? When Peter saw him…what did he do? Why do you think He asked Peter 3 times “Do you love me?”
Thursday 4.01.2010 Matthew 28:16-20, Luke 24:36-53
In this passage Christ gives us a GREAT COMMISSION. Do you also see the hope we have? What does He tell us at the end of this passage?
In Luke he tells the disciples that he is going to send them what the Father has promised…what was that?
Interesting passage….I always find this one interesting. The serpent fooled the woman and she was deceived. He told her that she would not die, yet is that not what really took place? Discuss your thoughts. How did not listening to God have a domino effect in our lives and relationships?
Saturday 4.03.2010 Genesis 28:10-15, 32:22-28
Walking with Jesus…what promise did God give Jacob in his dream? How did Jacob respond?
Chapter 32 is truly a powerful study. We must wrestle, and it is okay to struggle and wrestle with God. Jacob was getting ready to see his brother, the very one that he took the birth right from. He wanted to know that God would remain true to his promise way back in chapter 28. What are you wrestling with as you walk with Christ? Go to Him, talk with Him, trust that He will remain true to His promise to ALWAYS walk with you and NOT LEAVE YOU!
